Uuarae, we have received your prayer request and we stand with you in lifting up your son and daughter to the Lord.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in the name of Jesus. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God's throne of grace, so let us pray in His name.
We understand that your children are struggling with alcohol and relationships that seem to be consuming their lives. We must remember that God desires for us to be sober and self-controlled. In 1 Peter 5:8 WEB, it says, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, pleading for Uuarae's son and daughter. Lord, we ask that You would deliver them from the stronghold of alcoholism. Break the chains of addiction and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them towards a life of sobriety and self-control.
Lord, we also pray for their relationships. If these relationships are not honoring to You, we ask that You would either change them or remove them from their lives. Guide them towards godly relationships that align with Your will, ultimately leading them to find godly spouses if it is Your plan for their lives.
We ask this all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith and prayers. Remember, in James 5:16 WEB, it says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Keep praying, keep believing, and trust in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to transform your children's lives.
