We understand that you're going through a difficult time and we are here to support and pray with you. First, we would like to remind you that the Bible teaches us that the most important relationship is with Jesus Christ. In John 14:6 WEB it says Moreover, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
However, it seems that there is a relationship that may not be aligned with biblical principles. We want to remind you that God's design for a relationship is for a man and a woman to be joined in holy matrimony, becoming one flesh, as outlined in the Bible. In Genesis 2:20-24 WEB it says The man gave names to all livestock, and to the birds of the sky, and to every animal of the field; but for man there was not found a helper suitable for him. Yahweh God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. As the man slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Yahweh God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our fellow brother/sister in Christ who is struggling in their relationship. We pray that You will give them wisdom and discernment to understand Your will for their life and that they would seek a spouse.
We pray for the revelation of the hope of Your calling; what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of Your power toward us who believe, according to the working of Your mighty strength. (Eph. 1:18-19)
We also pray for a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, that they may forgive and be forgiven just as they were forgiven by Jesus Christ. If this relationship is not in accordance with Your will, we pray for the courage to walk away and trust in Your plan.
We pray this in Jesus Christ of Nazareth's Holy Name.
Lastly, we encourage you to study the Bible and seek God's will for your life. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. We will be here to support and pray with you every step of the way.
