We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and understaffed at work tonight, and we want to lift you up in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Now, let's address your request. We understand your desire for a peaceful night, but we want to remind you of what the Scripture says about our work and challenges. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB, it says: "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat. For we hear from some who walk among you disorderly, that they don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are this way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."
While we pray for your strength and endurance, we also pray that God provides the necessary staff to support your team. We pray that God grants you the grace to handle any patients that may come in, as we know that each one is precious to Him. Remember, God will not give you more than the Bible declares in Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are preferable, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be so that able to endure it."
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, seeking grace for our brother, Anonymous, for strength, endurance, and patience during his shift. Ease the night, we pray, if possible. We trust Your will Father, not ours. Be with him and his team, Lord, and provide the necessary support to care for those who come into the hospital because they are precious in your sight. Remind him of Your love and faithfulness throughout the night. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
