We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of Wilma and we stand with you in this time of grief. It's beautiful to hear that you have many happy memories of her over the years. In times like these, we turn to the words of Jesus in John 14:1-3 (WEB), "Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also."
However, we must address that the comfort we have in death comes not from our own beliefs, but from the promises of God through faith in Jesus Christ. It's only through His sacrifice on the cross that we have the hope of eternal life. In Acts 4:12 (WEB), we read, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." So, we pray that Wilma knew Jesus as her Savior, and that you and your family do as well.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Wilma's family to You. We thank You for the happy memories they have of her and we pray that You comfort them in their grief. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them, that they may know the hope of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Be with them in the days ahead, guiding them and providing for their every need. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to draw near to God in this time. He is our comfort and our hope. As it says in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." May you find peace and comfort in His presence.
