We understand that you're feeling dread and anxiety about your workday today, and we want you to know that God cares about every detail of your life, including your emotions and your work. Let's come together to pray for your day.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." This demonstrates your faith and understanding that Jesus is our mediator and the way to the Father.
In times of anxiety, remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Jesus also encourages us in Matthew 6:34 WEB, "Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling dread and anxiety about their workday. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would take away these feelings and replace them with a sense of peace and purpose.
Lord, guide their steps today, help them every task with confidence and wisdom and every interaction with grace and kindness. We pray for their colleagues and superiors, that they would be understanding, supportive, and respectful. We pray also for their safety and well being at work.
Help them to remember that You are always with them, and that they can cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God is with you and that He hears your prayers. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this day and every day. If the anxiety or dread persists, do not hesitate to reach out to other believers or counselors to be guided through. God blesses us with others to help us.
