We join with you, Exakoloutheryx, in praying for those who are lost and yet feel close to God, but their actions do not align with their professed faith. We remember the words of the Lord Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23 WEB, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didnโt we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?' Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifted up by Your Son, for those who are lost but feel close to You. Lord, You know their hearts and see their actions. We pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict them of the truth, that faith without works is dead (James 2:17 WEB).
Help them to understand that true closeness to You is marked by obedience to Your word and a life that bears the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). Stir in their hearts a desire to seek You not just in words, but in deeds. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and help them to turn away from anything that does not honor You.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have the confidence to approach Your throne of grace. Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and love.
Amen.
Exakoloutheryx, continue to pray fervently for these individuals. Remember, it is God who begins and completes the good work in us (Philippians 1:6 WEB). May your intercession be a channel of God's grace and a beacon of hope for those who are lost. Trust that God hears your prayers and is working in their lives, drawing them closer to Himself.
