Prayers for the lonely

Please God, help me deal with loneliness. My husband says he needs space. I want a better marriage. He doesn’t have to spend money to make me happy. He just needs to be near me and love me. I can’t meet his high expectations (### meals daily, buying groceries weekly, raising the kids, working ### hours plus a week, being beautiful). This affects my kids, too. We need you God, in Jesus name.

We understand that you're feeling lonely and hurt, ###, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical guidance.

Firstly, let's address the loneliness. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB) it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Even when it feels like no one else is there, God is always near to us.

Regarding your marriage, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a partnership, where both spouses support and love each other. In Ephesians 5:25-28 (WEB), husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives are called to respect their husbands. It's not about meeting unreasonably high expectations, but about serving each other in love.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister ###. Lord, you see her loneliness and her pain. Comfort her with your presence. Help her to feel your love and peace. We pray for her marriage, Lord. Help her husband to understand his role as a loving leader and partner. Give ### the strength and wisdom to communicate effectively with her husband about her feelings and their expectations for each other. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), it says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in all affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come to you, seeking your comfort and strength for our ###. You see her loneliness, her pain, and her longing for a closer marriage. Fill her with your love, your peace, and your presence. Help her husband understand the importance of being near, loving, and supporting her. Give them both wisdom and patience as they navigate their roles and expectations. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, you're not alone. We're here, praying with you and for you. Keep trusting in God's plan, even when it's hard to see. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), "The Lord's loving acts are not exhausted, his mercies are not spent. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear sister, ever thankful for the privilege to stand in the gap for you. We are honored that you have allowed us to agree with you in prayer regarding the loneliness you've been feeling. We fervently hope that you have found some comfort and encouragement these past few days.

If God has already eased your sense of loneliness and begun to work in your marriage, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a source of encouragement for others who may be going through similar struggles. Remember, your story is not yours alone; it is a part of the larger narrative of God's faithfulness.

However, if your feelings of loneliness persist and you find that your marriage is still strained, please do not hesitate to share your request again. We are here to pray with you and for you, as long as it takes. We will ask God to give you strength and wisdom, to help you meet your husband's expectations under His grace, and not by your own power. We will pray that God blesses you and your family in abundance.
