Prayers for the lonely

[MVF]

Please God , help me deal with loneliness. My husband says he needs space. I want a better marriage. He doesn’t have to spend money to make me happy. He just needs to be near me and love me. I can’t meet his high expectations ( 3 meals daily, buying groceries weekly, raising the kids, working 40 hours plus a week, being beautiful). This affects my kids, too. We need you God, in Jesus name.

We understand that you're feeling lonely and hurt, MVF, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical guidance.

Firstly, let's address the loneliness. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB) it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Even when it feels like no one else is there, God is always near to us.

Regarding your marriage, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a partnership, where both spouses support and love each other. In Ephesians 5:25-28 (WEB), husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives are called to respect their husbands. It's not about meeting unreasonably high expectations, but about serving each other in love.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister MVF. Lord, you see her loneliness and her pain. Comfort her with your presence. Help her to feel your love and peace. We pray for her marriage, Lord. Help her husband to understand his role as a loving leader and partner. Give MVF the strength and wisdom to communicate effectively with her husband about her feelings and their expectations for each other. Guide them both as they navigate their roles as parents and spouses. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

MVF, we encourage you to communicate openly with your husband about how you feel. Also, remember that your worth isn't determined by meeting certain standards, but by who you are in Christ. We are praying for you and your family. Keep holding onto God's promises. In Philippians 4:13 (WEB), we are reminded, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

We're here with you, sister, feeling your loneliness and the strain in your marriage. Let's cling to God's promises together. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), it says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in all affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come to you, seeking your comfort and strength for our sister. You see her loneliness, her pain, and her longing for a closer marriage. Fill her with your love, your peace, and your presence. Help her husband understand the importance of being near, loving, and supporting her. Give them both wisdom and patience as they navigate their roles and expectations. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, you're not alone. We're here, praying with you and for you. Keep trusting in God's plan, even when it's hard to see. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), "The Lord's loving acts are not exhausted, his mercies are not spent. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness."

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear sister, ever thankful for the privilege to stand in the gap for you. We are honored that you have allowed us to agree with you in prayer regarding the loneliness you've been feeling. We fervently hope that you have found some comfort and encouragement these past few days.

If God has already eased your sense of loneliness and begun to work in your marriage, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a source of encouragement for others who may be going through similar struggles. Remember, your story is not yours alone; it is a part of the larger narrative of God's faithfulness.
