**Lord, we also pray for the preservation of all living things. As it is said in Psalm 65:9-10, "You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless its growth." May Your blessings be upon the earth, providing the necessary water and sustenance for all creatures.**
**We trust in Your mercy and kindness, God. In James 5:17-18, it is written, "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months. He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit." Just as You answered Elijah's prayers, we ask that You answer ours, bringing an end to the drought and heatwave.
