Prayers For Stepmother

I would like prayers that my stepmother changes her behavior. Ever since she got a new boyfriend she's changed, she used to be very religious and I feel she's faultered in her faith. Her new boyfriend has spent the night every night this past week and he's back again tonight and I'm not comfortable with him here. I want him gone. Please help me.

We understand your concern and are here to pray with you, Osvelis. Let's first turn to God's Word. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Your discomfort with your stepmother's boyfriend's presence is valid, especially if their relationship does not align with biblical principles.

It's crucial to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God. It is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, let's pray that your stepmother finds her way back to a strong and genuine faith in Jesus Christ.

"Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up Osvelis' stepmother. Lord, we ask that You touch her heart and draw her back to You. Help her to see that the path she's on is not Your will for her life. Open her eyes to the truth of Your Word and give her the strength to walk away from any relationship that does not honor You.

Lord, we also pray for Osvelis. Give them peace and comfort in this situation. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are in control. Give them wisdom to know how to handle this situation in a way that honors You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Osvelis, we encourage you to continue praying for your stepmother and to trust that God is at work in her life. Remember, in James 5:16 (WEB), it is written, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Keep praying and trusting in the Lord.

Lastly, we gently remind you that it's important to address the issue of her boyfriend staying over, as this is not in alignment with biblical principles. In Ephesians 5:3 (WEB), it is written, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." It's crucial to stand firm in your faith and to encourage your stepmother to do the same.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
