We stand with you in prayer for your son Stephen, trusting in God's provision and plan for his life. We are reminded of the promise in Matthew 6:25-28 (WEB), where Jesus teaches us not to worry about what we will eat or drink, or about our clothing. He reminds us that our heavenly Father feeds the birds of the sky and clothes the lilies of the field, and that we are of much more value than these. We can trust that God will provide for all of Stephen's needs, according to His riches in glory.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Stephen to You. We thank You for the job You have provided for him, and we ask that You would stabilize his work situation. We pray that You would open doors for him within the county's department of social services, or in another position that You have prepared for him. We trust in Your promise to provide for all of our needs, and we ask that You would give Stephen favor in his job search.
Lord, we also lift up chiax66's husband, asking for Your healing hand to be upon him as he battles End-Stage Renal Disease. We pray for their financial situation, that You would provide for all of their needs, and that they would not be overwhelmed with stress. Give them peace, knowing that You are their provider and healer.
We ask all of these things in Jesus' name, amen."
In addition, we encourage Stephen to continue seeking God's will for his life. Colossians 3:23 (WEB) reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." We encourage Stephen to keep this attitude in his job search and in his current position, knowing that his work is ultimately for the Lord.
Lastly, we applaud chiax66 for praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and salvation (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). We encourage chiax66 to continue to trust in Jesus and to encourage her family to do the same.
