Dear Lord,
TY for seeking these precious children out + giving them hope through sponsored programs that provide for them in many ways-education, food, medical care, + spiritual care. Bless the many wonderful workers who offer so much hope + assistance to them + their families. Without this help, many would despair or even die.
These families in poverty have a steep hill to climb as they try to recover from job losses and evictions in communities where there is little infrastructure or support. Protect them from illness, disease, injury, flooding of their homes (a common problem), displacement, or family disintegration.
I pray for a slowdown in the spread of the virus in Bangladesh, as well as safety and opportunities for those whose homes have been destroyed by the floods.
You promised not to leave children like N + L as orphans; you would come to them—+ so you have. The work you have inspired + aided serves as a powerful reminder that you are very involved in their lives, and you allow us to be a part of that work through our prayers and support.
There is so much to be grateful for, but much to be done. Please continue to provide for these children, esp. those who are still waiting to be sponsored. Protect them + their families from all forms of evil, + above all from unbelief. In your holy name, amen.
