Sister Ambria, we are with you in spirit and in prayer, seeking God's will for your life together. We commend you for your desire to grow spiritually and take care of your physical body, which is indeed the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Sister Ambria. Thank You for her desire to grow closer to You and to take better care of the temple You have given her.
Father, we pray for discipline and consistency in her spiritual life. Let her delight be in Your law, and let her meditate on it day and night, that she may be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth its fruit in its season (Psalm 1:2-3, WEB).
We also pray for her physical health. As she commits to exercise and healthy eating, we ask that You would help her to be disciplined. We pray You will give her the power, by the Spirit, to control her body, and keep it in submission (Romans 8:13).
Father, we ask that You would help her to present her body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to You, which is her spiritual service (Romans 12:1, WEB). We pray that as she seeks to take better care of her body, the progress will yield lasting results.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Sister Ambria, remember that physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come (1 Timothy 4:8, WEB). So, as you work on your physical health, do not neglect your spiritual growth.
Also, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2, WEB). This includes your mindset towards your body and health.
