We understand that you're feeling anxious about your finances and struggling to sleep well. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your needs and worries. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our life, what we will eat or what we will drink; nor about our body, what we will put on." Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?" and "Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's trouble is enough for the day."
However, we want to point out that while you did end your prayer "in the name of Jesus Christ", you addressed your prayer to "Father". While God is our Father in Heaven, we want to remind you that Jesus taught "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." John 14:6 WEB. We only have access to God the Father through Jesus Christ the son.
In times of anxiety, cast your burdens on Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
Please repeat this prayer with us:
Dear Jesus Christ,
Thank You that You are my provider and that You know all my needs. I cast my anxieties on You, trusting that You will provide for me and help me overcome this anxiety, including paying my bills and rent. Please grant me peace and sweet sleep, knowing that You are in control. In Your precious name, I pray. Amen.
Remember, God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 WEB) Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time.
We also pray for all those who are unable to sleep due to worries. Dear Jesus Christ, please comfort them and grant them the peace and rest that only You can give. Help them to cast their burdens on You and trust in Your provision. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be sure to also see Matthew 6:19-21 WEB "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." and Matthew 6:24 WEB "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon." We want to remind you that it is a vain pursuit to become rich.
God is not opposed to us having money, but rather, He wants us to be able to be content with what we have and to not let the pursuit of money become more important to us than Him.
We encourage you to seek God and His righteousness first, and He will provide for all your needs. (Matthew 6:33-34 WEB)
