We are with you in spirit, Llannach, and we lift up your son and his girlfriend before the throne of grace. We first want to remind you of the importance of seeking God's will in all things, including our relationships and living situations. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donβt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
We also want to encourage your son and his girlfriend to seek God's will for their relationship. As they are courting, they should be seeking to glorify God in their relationship and ultimately, in their future marriage. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), "Donβt be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We encourage them to pursue a godly marriage, and to remember that their careers and finances should not take precedence over their spiritual growth and obedience to God's word.
Regarding their living situation, we trust that God is faithful to provide for His children. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-33 (WEB), we should not be anxious about what we will eat, drink, or wear, but we should seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. Let us pray:
"Father God, we lift up Llannach's son and his girlfriend to You. We ask that You would direct their paths and guide them in their relationship and in their careers. We pray that You would provide for their needs, that they would find a reasonably priced home to live in, and that they would trust in You to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We also pray that they would seek Your will for their relationship, that they would pursue a godly marriage, and that they would live lives that are pleasing to You. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."
Lastly, we want to gently remind you, Llannach, that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to always pray in Jesus' name, as it is only through His name that we can be saved and have access to the Father.
