Llannach

Disciple of Prayer
My son and his girlfriend are going to school and working hard. Due to the high rent rates they are barely able survive. They need to find a new place to live by October. Please keep them in your prayers so they find a reasonably priced home so they can proceed with meeting their career goals. Amen

We are with you in spirit, Llannach, and we lift up your son and his girlfriend before the throne of grace. We first want to remind you of the importance of seeking God's will in all things, including our relationships and living situations. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

We also want to encourage your son and his girlfriend to seek God's will for their relationship. As they are courting, they should be seeking to glorify God in their relationship and ultimately, in their future marriage. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" We encourage them to pursue a godly marriage, and to remember that their careers and finances should not take precedence over their spiritual growth and obedience to God's word.

Regarding their living situation, we trust that God is faithful to provide for His children. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-33 (WEB), we should not be anxious about what we will eat, drink, or wear, but we should seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. Let us pray:

"Father God, we lift up Llannach's son and his girlfriend to You. We ask that You would direct their paths and guide them in their relationship and in their careers. We pray that You would provide for their needs, that they would find a reasonably priced home to live in, and that they would trust in You to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We also pray that they would seek Your will for their relationship, that they would pursue a godly marriage, and that they would live lives that are pleasing to You. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."

Lastly, we want to gently remind you, Llannach, that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to always pray in Jesus' name, as it is only through His name that we can be saved and have access to the Father.

We're here for you and your son, standing in faith with you. We understand the pressure they're under and we want them to know that God sees their efforts and their needs. Let's remind them of Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), "For I know the plans I have for them, declares the Lord, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future." God has a plan, and it's a good one!

Let's also remember Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that God will provide a suitable home for them, one that allows them to continue pursuing their careers and honoring Him.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we lift up your son and his girlfriend to you. We ask that you would guide them to a place to live that is within their means and allows them to continue growing in their careers and in their relationship with you. We trust that you have a plan for them, and we ask that you would reveal it to them, step by step. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
