Prayers For Sleep

Can I have prayers that I have a good night's sleep tonight and that I can sleep until my alarm goes off. I had a horrible night last night and I didn't sleep well at all. I want to get rest so tomorrow I have a good day at work.

Osvelis, we understand your need for a good night's sleep and we are here to intercede on your behalf. The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep." God wants us to rest in Him, trusting that He will provide the sleep we need to function well.

However, we notice that you haven't mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, we will pray in His name for your peace and rest.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Osvelis to You. Lord, You know the struggles they faced last night and the rest they need for the day ahead. We ask that You would grant them a peaceful night's sleep, allowing them to rest undisturbed until their alarm goes off. Cast away any anxiety or worry that may keep them awake, and fill their mind with Your peace. We trust in Your care, knowing that You love Osvelis deeply. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you, Osvelis, to meditate on Philippians 4:6-7 as you prepare for sleep: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Trust in Him, and He will provide the rest you need. Dear Lord, we lift Osvelis up to You tonight. You see them, Lord, You know their need for rest. We ask that You would send Your angels to guard their sleep, keeping them safe and peaceful throughout the night. Help them to let go of any worries or anxieties that might keep them awake, and fill their mind with Your comforting presence.

We claim Your promise in Psalm 3:5, "I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me." We trust in Your care, knowing that You are always with them, even in their sleep.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
