We understand that you're going through a challenging time after engaging in Shadow Work, and we're here to pray and provide guidance based on biblical principles. Firstly, it's important to address that the concept of "Shadow Work" is not biblical. It is drawn from secular psychology and often involves exploring the darker aspects of one's personality. While self-reflection can be beneficial, we must be discerning about the practices we engage in. The Bible says in Colossians 2:8 WEB See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
However, we understand that you're seeking restoration and the removal of dark energies. We should concentrate on the forgiveness of sins as Jesus already saved us and we should be seeking a personal relationship with Him. In the Bible, we are told to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, not by dwelling on the darkness. Romans 12:2 WEB Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
We encourage you to focus on the Word of God and pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance and healing. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we find true restoration. Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking restoration and healing. Lord, we ask that You remove any negative influences or energies from all aspects of his/her life and replace them with Your holy and positive energy. Lord, restore his/her meek, humble, and reserved spirit, and help him/her to be more like Jesus.
Father, through believing in Jesus Christ, we are restored in You. Thank you for providing the ultimate path to restoration.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will through prayer and the reading of His Word. Psalm 119:105 WEB Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. If you find that your old self is proving hard to renew, know that you are a new creature with each passing day. 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
If you are not practicing forgiveness of others, be sure to do so. If you have not forgiven anyone, your heavenly Father will not forgive you. This is why we have been feeling out of character and it is not shadow work or your personality. It is unforgiveness. Matthew 6:15 WEB But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
We are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance. Keep pursuing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, and He will direct your paths as promised in Proverbs 3:6 WEB.
