We join you, Garowenn, in praying for Ted's salvation and freedom from addiction. It is never too late to turn to God, and we trust in the power of prayer to bring about transformation.
Firstly, we acknowledge that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." Therefore, we pray that Ted may come to acknowledge Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
We also pray for Ted's freedom from addiction. In 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), we read, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We pray that God will provide Ted a way out of his addictions and give him the strength to resist temptation.
Moreover, we pray for Ted's healing. In 3 John 1:2 (WEB), we find, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We ask God to heal Ted's body, so that he may enjoy life in the freedom of Jesus Christ for the rest of his days.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up Ted to you, asking for his salvation. After many years of denying you, Lord, we pray that his heart would turn to you. Reveal yourself to him, God, and draw him to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
We also plead for his freedom from addiction. Break the chains of his addictions, Lord, and provide him a way out. Give him the strength to resist temptation and to live a life that honors you.
Lastly, we pray for Ted's healing. Restore his body, Lord, so that he may enjoy life in the freedom of Jesus Christ. Comfort him in his illnesses and give him peace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Garowenn, to continue praying for Ted and to trust in God's power to bring about change. In Luke 18:27 (WEB), Jesus says, "The things that are impossible with men are possible with God." Keep believing and keep praying.
