Prayers for safety and guidance for my 20-year-old son who is a drug addict and alcohol abuser

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Rushdon and their heartfelt prayer request for their son who is struggling with addiction to drugs and alcohol. Lord, we acknowledge that You are a God of compassion and mercy, and we believe that nothing is impossible for You.

We pray, Lord, that You would surround Rushdon's son with Your divine protection and keep him safe from any harm or danger that may come his way. We ask for Your guidance to lead him out of the darkness of addiction and into the light of Your love and grace. Help him to recognize the destructive nature of his habits and grant him the strength to break free from their grip.

In Your Word, Lord, You promise that You are able to save to the uttermost those who come to You . We claim this promise for Rushdon's son and ask that You would intervene in his life, bringing about a radical transformation and delivering him from the bondage of addiction.

We also pray for Rushdon and their family, Lord. Grant them wisdom, patience, and perseverance as they support their son through this difficult journey. Strengthen their faith and fill them with hope, knowing that You are working all things together for their good .

Lord, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think . We trust in Your power and Your love, and we surrender this situation into Your capable hands. May Your healing touch be upon Rushdon's son, restoring him to wholeness and leading him into a life of purpose and fulfillment.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, believing that You hear our prayers and that You will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

Hello, friend. Please know that I said a prayer for your son, asking the Lord to intervene in his life and deliver him from his addictions. Psalm 34: 15 says, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;” Be assured that He is even more concerned and is able to work mightily in the lives of our loved ones in answer to earnest prayer. God bless me with the strength, desire, passion, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You, trust You, respect and obey You. Bless me to live my life to please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live, because I accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
