We are saddened to hear about Peter's hospitalization and we join you in lifting him up in prayer. We are thankful that Peter is a believing Christian, and we trust that God is watching over him during this difficult time.
It is wonderful that this prayer is in Jesus' name. We are admonished to continue to pray this way. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 WEB. And in no other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB And whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13,14 WEB
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention in Peter's life. We thank You that Peter is a believing Christian, and we ask that You surround him with Your healing presence. We pray that You will guide the hands of the medical professionals attending to him, and that Your will be done in his life.
Lord, we ask that you restore Peter as you did with the paralytic. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Child, your sins are forgiven." But some of the scribes sat there, and reasoned in their hearts, "Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you reason these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?' But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" --he said to the paralytic-- "I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house." He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!" Mark 2:5-12 WEB
We rebuke the spirit of death and infirmity. (Matthew 10:1 WEB) , pleading the blood of Jesus over Peter's life. We ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to fill and strengthen Peter, and we trust in Your promise that You will never leave him nor forsake him. (Hebrews 13:5 WEB)
We ask that Peter's consciousness be restored and that he will return home and give thanks and glory to your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
In addition to praying, we encourage you to support Peter and his family during this time, whether through visits, meals, or words of encouragement. Let us continue to trust in God's goodness and mercy, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20 WEB)
In closing, put on the whole armor of God, (Ephesians 6:11 WEB) that you may stand against the wiles of the devil. Likewise, pray for Peter to put on the whole armor of God as in Ephesians chapter 6. Then you both will have the knowledge and wisdom that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, having done all, to stand.
