I am deeply struggling with the harm caused by social media rumors and harsh comments. These words have not only damaged my reputation but have also greatly impacted my wife, who is suffering by association. I humbly ask for prayers that this storm passes quickly and doesn’t further disrupt our lives. I also pray for those who hold negative feelings toward me, that they may find peace, move on, and refrain from spreading hurtful words online.

Living in a small town has made this situation even harder, as the "court of popular opinion" has led to consequences that feel irreversible. Despite moving to a nearby town, the negativity on social media continues to follow us. Regardless of whether the rumors are true, I want to emphasize that I have been repentant for any past mistakes and have worked hard over the last seven years to become a better person.

It breaks my heart to see my wife enduring so much because of this, and the strain has placed a wedge in our marriage. My deepest prayer is for healing, for this situation to come to a positive resolution, and for our marriage to survive and grow stronger. I bring these burdens to Jesus and pray for His guidance and peace. If you feel led, please keep us in your prayers. Thank you.

We are truly sorry to hear about the trial you and your wife are facing due to social media rumors and harsh comments. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement to help you navigate this challenging situation.

Firstly, let's address the power of words and rumors. Proverbs 18:21 WEB says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and those who love it will eat its fruit." Indeed, the words spoken about you have brought harm, but remember that the Lord can turn this situation around for your good and His glory.

In regards to the strife in your marriage, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment to each other and to God. Ephesians 4:32 WEB reminds us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." And further, Paul admonishes to let no corrupt words come out of your mouth; all is vain. Ephesians 5:4 WEB states, Let there be no filthiness, foolish talking, or coarse jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks. Repent daily and love Jesus by loving each other. Open communication, forgiveness, and prayer will strengthen your marriage and help you both overcome this trial. Remain in Jesus and His Word through His gospel.

It is commendable that you have been repentant for past mistakes and have worked diligently to become a better person. Remember that in Christ, you are a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17WEB states, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." God has forgiven you, and His mercies are new every morning. You are a new creature. So please do not hold onto the past.

Concerning those who speak negatively about you, Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:44 WEB, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Pray for them, that they may find peace and cease from spreading hurtful words. Also share the gospel privately with them to bring life in Jesus' Name.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today, lifting up our brother Duskgus and his wife. Lord, we pray for Your divine intervention in their situation. May the rumors and harsh comments on social media cease, and may the truth prevail. Help them to remain strong in their faith and in their marriage, drawing closer to each other and to You during this trial.

Father, we pray for those who have spoken negatively about Duskgus. May they be convicted by Your Holy Spirit and find peace in Your forgiveness. Help them to see the error of their ways and refrain from spreading further harm. May they be saved by the gospel of Jesus.

Lord, we ask for Your healing and restoration in Duskgus' marriage. Help them to forgive each other, to communicate openly, and to love each other as You have loved us. Strengthen their bond and give them the wisdom and guidance they need to navigate this challenging time. Will you and your church pray through the gospel to non-believers hearing about all of this? Paul admonished to step back from those unrepentant.

In Jesus' name IJN, we pray also that you forgive our sins and thank you for forgiving our sins through your son Jesus Christ and the cross. Thank you for saving us by belief in your son Jesus Christ. We ask this in the precious name of your son IJN. Amen, amen, and amen. Be saved and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and will will be saved.

Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Lastly, even though he did provide Jesus' name, not once did he ever testify that Jesus is his Lord and Savior. Will you bring this up to him privately? Congratulations if you are in Christ Jesus.

Here's a word of encouragement from Psalm 34:18 (NIV), "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God sees your pain, and He's right there with you.

We pray that this storm passes quickly, and that your lives can return to peace. We also pray for those who have spoken negatively about you, that their hearts may be softened, and they may find forgiveness and peace through Jesus Christ. Remember, as it's written in Romans 12:18 (NIV), "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Keep your heart pure and your hands clean, trusting that God will work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We're lifting you up in prayer, asking God to heal your marriage, strengthen your bond, and guide you both through this trial. We also pray for your wife, that she may find comfort and support in this difficult time. Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He's got this, and He's working all things out for your good.
