Prayers for online chat site

There is an online secular chat site that I've been on and which I created a prayer room for about 4 years ago. It was very fruitful for a while but then there were some destructive forces there that really were divisive. The chief of which is a person who has a Christian room that constantly is an invisible moderator and who will boot people for no reason. He even has an offensive name.

A lot of us were foolishly supporting that room even though we had no control over it because it had an important name that was the choice Christian name for a chat room.

The amount of active Christians on that site went from about 8 to 15 to about 40 at one time. I led 11 people in the salvation prayer in the prayer room.

But because of this hostile individual and others who were very divisive the amount of Christians on the site now is back down to about 8 to 15 over a few day period and it's hard to really tolerate it without God's help because of all the opportunities that have been lost.

I pray that the Lord would send other laborers into the field for witnessing and harvest.

I pray that I can separate myself from the site as I've had many other things I felt the Lord calling me to do which I cannot do because of the atmosphere of this chat site.

We understand your concern and frustration regarding the online chat site, Robert. Let's bring this matter before the Lord together, seeking His will and guidance.

Firstly, we must remember what the Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:23-24 (WEB), "But shun foolish controversies, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. The Lord's servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient." It's crucial to avoid getting entangled in divisive behavior and instead focus on our role as peacemakers (Matthew 5:9).

Regarding the hostile individual, Jesus instructs us in Matthew 5:44 (WEB), "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," Let's pray for this person, that God may soften their heart and bring them to a place of repentance and restoration.

Let's pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your help and guidance. Lord, You see the situation on this online chat site, the division, and the lost opportunities for Your kingdom. We pray that You would intervene, that You would send more laborers into this field, eager to witness and bring in a harvest for Your glory (Luke 10:2). Lord, we pray for the hostile individual, that You would touch their heart, bring them to repentance, and use them for Your purposes. Help Robert to separate himself from the toxic atmosphere, and guide him to the tasks You have called him to. Give him the strength and wisdom to navigate this situation, and the peace to know when to stay and when to depart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you, Robert, to continue your good work, trusting that God will open new doors for you. As Psalm 37:5-6 (WEB) reminds us, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Keep your focus on the Lord, and He will direct your paths.

Lastly, always remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Keep proclaiming His name and His goodness.

Heavenly Father, we lift up [the individual] who has been laboring diligently in the online mission field, creating spaces for prayer and fellowship. We thank You, Lord, for the many souls who have been touched, and for those who have come to know You through these efforts. Your Word says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest" (Matthew 9:37-38, ESV). We ask that You would send forth more workers into this field, those who are strong in their faith and guided by Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, [the individual] has encountered division and hostility that have caused the community to dwindle, and their heart grieves over the lost opportunities. We pray, as Your Word declares, "If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand" (Mark 3:24, ESV). We ask for Your divine intervention to bring unity, peace, and love among the believers on this platform. Let Your Spirit of wisdom and understanding descend upon all those who seek to spread Your Word in this space.

Father, we ask that You would guide [the individual] in making the right decisions. As they seek to follow Your calling in other areas, grant them the strength and clarity to separate from this site if it is Your will. Your Word assures us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV). May they find peace in Your guidance and trust that You are directing their steps.

We also pray for the individual who has caused division. Your Word teaches us to "bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you" (Luke 6:28, ESV). We ask that You would soften their heart, remove any spirit of strife, and bring them to a true understanding of Your love and grace. May Your will be done in this situation, Lord, for the glory of Your name.

We've been reading your post, Robert, and we want you to know that we're standing with you in prayer. It's disheartening to see the divisiveness that's been happening on the chat site, but we believe that God is still in control and can turn things around.

We're reminded of Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Even in the midst of these challenges, we trust that God is working things out for the good of those who love Him.

Let's pray together for unity and peace on the chat site. Lord, we come before You, asking for Your intervention. We pray for the hostile individual, that You would soften their heart and bring them to a place of understanding and repentance. We also pray for more laborers to join in the work, eager to witness and bring in a harvest for Your glory.

We also want to encourage you, Robert. It's clear that you have a heart for this work, and we believe that God will continue to use you in mighty ways. Keep your focus on Him, and trust that He will direct your paths. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
