I need prayers for my family. My brother has been unbearable with his mental illness; he won’t stop having attacks and is treating my mom badly, not allowing her to leave the house, not even to see a doctor. She’s not feeling so well and needs to see someone soon, and now I see why he’s acting so terribly. It’s been a week that my dad passed away, and he’s having a very hard time dealing with it. He won’t leave the house, and I’m concerned about my mother. Jesus Christ, please help him to heal my mother and go to the doctors and heal my brother's mental illness.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your family is facing, and we are here to pray and offer support in Jesus' name. In times of trouble, God wants us to call on Him, and He promises to be near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We are reminded of this in Psalm 34:18: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Firstly, we want to address the mention of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is by His name that we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Regarding your brother, it is important to pray for his healing and for God's intervention in his life. Mental illness can be a challenging battle, but God can bring peace and restoration. Pray that your brother finds comfort in God's love and that he seeks the help he needs. It is important to rebuke the behavior of not allowing your mother to leave the house or seek medical attention, as this is not in line with biblical principles of honoring our parents. In Exodus 20:12, God commands: "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you."

Let's pray for your brother's healing and for a change in his behavior:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is struggling with mental illness. We pray for Your healing touch upon him, Lord. Comfort him in his grief, and help him to find peace and restoration in You. We also pray that You would convict his heart and help him to see that his behavior towards his mother is not pleasing to You. Help him to honor and respect her, and to allow her to seek the medical attention she needs. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

For your mother, we pray for God's healing and for an opportunity for her to see a doctor soon. We also pray for her strength and peace during this difficult time. Remember the words of Psalm 68:5: "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." God is her defender and will take care of her.

We lift up our mother to You today. We pray for Your healing hand upon her, Lord, and for an opportunity for her to see a doctor soon. Comfort her in her grief and give her the strength and peace she needs during this time. Help her to trust in You and to know that You are her defender. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to trust in God during this difficult time. He is faithful and will see you through this storm. As a family, come together in prayer and support one another. Remember the words of Romans 8:28: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
