We are truly sorry to hear about your husband's illness and we are here to lift you both up in prayer and support. We are so very thankful that you have reached out, but let us remember the words of the Lord as we are encouraged to call on Him. First, we must acknowledge the power of Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we are saved. Let us remember the words in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine healing and comfort for ###'s husband. We know that You are the Great Physician, and there is no sickness or disease that can stand against Your healing power as seen in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul! Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."
Lord, we ask that You touch his body and remove every symptom of illness. If it is the flu, let it pass quickly with no lasting effects. We pray against any spirit of infirmity that may be attacking his body and command it to leave in Jesus' name. We also know that You have good plans for his life, plans to prosper him, not plans to harm him (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we also pray for ###, asking that You fill her with Your peace and strength during this time. Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that her husband is in Your capable hands. As we know that your word says in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly Lord, we pray for the doctors and medical staff attending to him. Guide their hands and give them wisdom and discernment as they provide care. We encourage ### to also remember the words of James 5:14-15 "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Lord Jesus, we ask that You bring complete healing and restoration to his body. Let this time of illness be used for Your glory so that he may testify of Your goodness and grace.
We pray for and expect a full recovery, for Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, ###, to continue trusting in the Lord and to surround yourselves with a community of believers who can support and pray for you both during this time. Remind yourselves of God's promises and His unfailing love for you. We are here with you in spirit, lifting you both up in prayer.
