Prayers for my ###

Please pray for my sister’s mental and physical health. I think she is abusing prescription drugs causing mental breaks. She is my older sister but I am the only person she has to call and I am drained. I don’t know what else to do but pray.

We understand your concern and burden for your sister's mental and physical health, and we commend you for turning to prayer as a source of help and comfort. In times of trouble, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).

Firstly, let us pray for your sister's healing and deliverance. "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our sister in need of Your healing touch. We ask, Lord, that You would set her free from any form of substance abuse and restore her mental and physical health. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen."

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for her, as the effective prayer of the righteous can accomplish much (James 5:16, WEB). Remember, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).

It is also important to address the abuse of prescription drugs, which is a form of bondage. The Bible tells us, "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18, WEB). This verse emphasizes the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit rather than being under the influence of substances that can harm us.

Moreover, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support for yourself and your sister. You don't have to carry this burden alone. "Carry one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2, WEB). This could mean reaching out to your pastor, a trusted Christian friend, or a professional counselor who can provide guidance and support.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written, "In none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is through His name that we receive salvation, healing, and deliverance.
