We join with you in lifting up Chase and your grandchildren before the throne of grace. We stand in agreement with your prayers and add our petitions to yours.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We are also told, "in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him" (Ephesians 3:12 WEB). We are grateful that you acknowledged this in your prayer request, Moruirterwick.
We pray that Chase would find God and enter into a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ if he has not already. As it is said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). We pray for his salvation, that he may confess with his mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in his heart that God raised him from the dead. This is the path to salvation and we pray for Chase to be on this path.
We also pray that God will guide his path and open his eyes to see the truth of his situation. We trust that "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). We pray for God to give Chase wisdom and discernment.
We pray for God to grant him peace, love, and understanding during this difficult time. We know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We pray for God's comfort and strength to be upon Chase.
Regarding the toxic relationship, we pray that God would reveal to Chase if this relationship is not in alignment with His will. We are reminded that "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). We pray that Chase would seek God's will for his life and walk in obedience to His word. If this relationship is not glorifying God, then we pray for Chase to have the courage to walk away.
We also stand with you in prayer for Chase to realize the blessing of his children and his responsibility to them. We pray that he would be a Godly father, raising his children in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4 WEB).
Finally, we join with you in praying against the work of the enemy in Chase's life. We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We pray for God's protection and deliverance for Chase and your grandchildren.
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith and prayer for Chase and your grandchildren. God hears your prayers and He is faithful. We are promised that "the prayer of the righteous avails much" (James 5:16 WEB). We are here with you in prayer and belief that God will answer. Keep trusting in Him, and keep praying.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Chase and his children to You. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to Chase and draw him into a personal relationship with You. Open his eyes to see the truth of his situation, and grant him wisdom and discernment. We pray for Your peace, love, and understanding to be upon him during this difficult time. We ask that You would expose any work of the enemy in his life, and grant him deliverance and protection. We also pray for his children, that You would be their shield and their strength. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
