Prayers for my son

Please pray for my adult son Caleb. He came to us and said he is addicted to painkillers however we believe it could be more than that. He wants to try to quit in his own but I am praying he will let us take him to get treatment from trained medical personnel. Please pray that he will find God and can overcome his affliction.

We are deeply moved by your request for prayers for Caleb. We stand with you in this time of need, trusting in the power of our compassionate and almighty God.

Firstly, let us remember that our heavenly Father cares for Caleb deeply. As it is written in the WEB, "Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you." (1 Peter 5:7)

However, we must address that attempting to overcome addiction alone can be not only difficult but also dangerous. It is wise and biblical to seek help and counsel from those trained to provide it. Proverbs 12:15 tells us, "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who is wise listens to counsel." We pray that Caleb will understand the wisdom in seeking professional help.

We also pray that Caleb will find God in this journey. True healing and transformation come from encountering the love and power of Jesus Christ. As Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6) We encourage you to share the Gospel with Caleb, reminding him that Jesus came to save the lost and set the captives free.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Caleb to you. Lord, you know the struggles he is facing, and you care about every detail of his life. We ask that you would deliver him from this addiction, that you would give him the strength to seek help, and the wisdom to accept it. Draw him close to you, Father, and reveal your love and power to him. Bring complete healing and restoration to his life. We ask all these things in Jesus' precious name. Amen."

Be encouraged, dear one. God is faithful, and He promises that "all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) Trust in Him, and continue to stand in faith for Caleb's complete recovery and salvation.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
