We join you, dear Anonymous, in prayer for your son, standing on the promises of God's Word. It is indeed encouraging to hear that your son has been attending church, and we trust God to complete the good work He has begun in his life.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up the son of our beloved brother/sister. Thank You for drawing him closer to You, and for the seeds of faith being planted in his heart as he attends church. We ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. As it is written in Romans 10:9 (WEB), 'because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.'
Father, surround him with godly influences, people who will encourage and build him up in his faith. Grant him wisdom in his decisions, both in his social life and academic pursuits. Let Your light shine in his heart, that he may make choices pleasing to You. AsProverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) tells us, 'Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.'
Lord, we also pray for an increase in motivation in his life, that he may excel in his studies and pursue Your purpose for him with passion. Keep him far from addiction, Lord. Break any chains that may bind him and grant him freedom in You. We believe that, as Your Word says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), 'No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.'
We declare these things, trusting in Your ability and goodness, dear Father. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son, trusting that God is at work in his life. Remember the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8 (WEB). Keep praying and don't give up, for God is indeed able and good. We stand with you, believing that God will answer your prayers according to His perfect will. Keep declaring the name of Jesus over your son's life, for there is power in that name.
