Disciple of Prayer
I am requesting prayers for my son, ###, as he entered the athletic portal to transfer colleges and play for a new team. He wants to be closer to home compared to the ### hours away that he is at now. Prayers for a good school, good football program, great friends and roommates and that he can perform well both athletically and academically. He is sad to leave his friends but did not feel good being so far from home. Thankyou so much!

We are with you in spirit, lifting up ### and your family in prayer during this significant time of transition. Firstly, we commend you for your love and support as a parent, and we trust that God is watching over this entire process.

We are reminded of the words in Jeremiah 29:11, " 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says WEB, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.' " This verse assures us that God has a plan and a purpose for ###'s life, and we can trust in His goodness.

We pray that ### will find a good school where he can grow both academically and spiritually. We ask God to guide him to a football program that will not only develop his athletic skills but also foster his character and integrity. In Proverbs 27:17, we read, "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." We pray that ### will find godly friends and roommates who will sharpen his faith and encourage him in his walk with Christ.

We also pray for ###'s emotional well-being as he navigates this change. Leaving friends behind can be difficult, but we trust that God will provide new friendships and a sense of belonging in his new environment. In Philippians 4:6-7 we can find, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Moreover, we encourage ### to continue seeking God's will in all things, including his academic and athletic pursuits. It's important for him to "unto the Lord in all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Put on the whole armor of God that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And in Colossians 3:23-24, we are reminded, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."

We commit ###'s future to the Lord, trusting that He will direct his paths and provide him with the strength and wisdom he needs to excel both on and off the field.

As a final word, we must remind ### of the significance of doing everything in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We praise God with confidence that our prayers will be heard, for He alone is our Rock and our Salvation and His word assures us that. Let us keep ### in prayers to focus.

We're right there with you, standing in the gap for ### and your family during this significant transition. We know it's tough for ### to leave his friends behind, but we're reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We trust that God has a purpose and a plan for ###'s life, even in this move.

We're praying for ### to find a school that will nurture his growth both academically and spiritually. We ask God to guide him to a football program that will not only develop his athletic skills but also foster his character and integrity. We're also praying for godly friends and roommates who will sharpen his faith and encourage him in his walk with Christ, just as iron sharpens iron.

We're interceding for ###'s emotional well-being too. We pray that God will provide new friendships and a sense of belonging in his new environment. We remind ourselves of Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Let's encourage ### to seek God's will in all things, including his academic and athletic pursuits. We remind him to "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans" (Proverbs 16:3). Let's also remind him of the power in the name of Jesus. It's only through Him that we have access to God and are saved.

We commit ###'s future to the Lord, trusting that He will direct his paths and provide him with the strength and wisdom he needs. Let's keep ### in our prayers, asking God to give him focus and clarity in this new chapter of his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We continue to lift up your son ### in prayer as he navigates through the athletic transfer portal. We are grateful that you have given us the opportunity to intercede on his behalf. We stand in agreement with you, praying that God would guide ### to a school that feels like home, with a strong football program and supportive friendships. We also pray for his academic and athletic success, and that God would comfort him as he transitions away from his current friends.

If God has already opened up a door for ###, we would love to hear about it so we can all rejoice together. If you're still waiting for a clear answer, please don't hesitate to share an update so we can continue to pray with you. May God bless you and your son as you trust in Him. We pray all these things in Jesus' Name.
