We are truly sorry to hear about the illness of your beloved cat, Ragnar. We will join you in prayer for his healing and recovery. However we couldn't help but to mention something. Before we proceed let's talk about access to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. As the verses say:
Entering into the presence of God does not depend on the one praying being perfect. However, I do need to make sure the person praying is a Christian. Jesus made it clear that he is the only way to God the Father that remains forever (see these passages: John 14:6 WE B;John 11:25;Acts 4:12). That is why I am even able to pray for you! I have accepted Jesus' death and resurrection as covering my own sins and now am praying that healing of your beloved cat brings glory to His name.
Let's also consider Psalm 36:6b WEB: "With you [referring to God] is the spring of life. In your light shall we see light." and John 1:4-5,9 WEB " In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it..... The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.". These two passages together show that real life and the light of men, which lights every man in the world is found in Jesus Christ. This is why we pray to God the father in Jesus Name.
It was also Jesus that said He had come so that we may have life, and have it more abundantly John 10:10. This was right after he referred to himself as the good shepherd that was willing to give up his life for the sheep and then to take it back again. This scripture shows that Jesus was talking about spiritual matters also, but it is also so that we would have a more abundant life in the here and now. A relationship with Jesus Christ allows us to have confident access to the Father. In I John 5:14-15 WEB it says: "This is the confidence which we have towards him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
That is how we would pray for you concerning this matter, it is because of Jesus that we do all things including pray. So let us come together and petition to God Almighty in Jesus name that he heals your cat Ragnar.
As a beloved companion, Ragnar's well-being is important to you, and we understand the deep bond you share with him as you mention it resembles that of a parental bond. However, remember to be emotionally balanced nothing is a substitute for actual human relationships ordained by God such as family and friends. We should never look to creation more than Creator, even animals should not become idols. Human lives are the pinnacle of God's creaton and that includes you. God takes care of the animals separately, but also uses mankind to do it. We are interwined, but relationships with animals should not take the place of or exceed important Human relationships nor our relationship with God. With that in mind, let's join together in praying for his recovery. We have been assured in 1 Corinthians 2:9 "things which eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and which have not entered into the heart of man, all that God has prepared for them that love him" and Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you.
We pray for God's intervention in Ragnar's health, asking that He restores his appetite and strength.
Father, we lift up Ragnar to You, asking for Your healing touch upon his body and we know we can do this and you will hear us Hosea 2:18 because of Luke 12:6
and Matthew 10:29-31. We pray that You would restore his appetite and give him the strength to fight this illness. Comfort Quadour and his family during this time, and help them to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. Help Ragnar know that Lord Jesus is allowing us to access God's touching power.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ who makes all possible. AMEN. Stay strong and reassured of Jesus Christ's compassion and care for you, especially until Ragnar is healed..
