We are truly saddened to hear about the trials your ### is facing, but we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we need to address that drinking to excess is not a solution and is condemned by the Bible. "Don't be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). We pray that God will give your ### strength and self-control to overcome this temptation.
Regarding his living situation, it is not biblically appropriate for him to be living with his former girlfriend and her new partner. "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity" (Ephesians 5:3 WEB). We pray that God will provide a way for your ### to live separately, and for the mother of his child to respect the bond between father and daughter.
We also pray for his work situation, that God will grant him favor in his job and with his superiors. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23 WEB).
Lastly, we notice that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in this request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We encourage your ### and your family to put your trust in Jesus, and we pray that you all will come to know Him more deeply.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ who is going through a difficult time. We pray for Your strength and comfort to surround him during this trial. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
We pray for a swift and peaceful resolution to his living situation. Guide him to make wise decisions that honor You. We also pray for his daughter, that she may continue to have a loving relationship with her father.
We ask for Your favor in his workplace. Guide his steps and his words during the meeting with his superior. Help him to perform his duties with integrity and excellence, as if working for You.
Most importantly, we pray that he and his family would draw near to You, calling on the name of Jesus for salvation and help.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
