Prayers for my nephew Dimitris cutting cocaine and friends that influence badly

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles of your nephew Dimitris, but we are also heartened by your faith in the power of Jesus' name. Let us stand together in prayer and in the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Firstly, let's remind ourselves of the power of Jesus' name: "In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God." (John 16:26-27 WEB)

Now, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Dimitris. We thank you, Father, for loving him even in his struggles. We ask, Lord, that you would break the chains of cocaine addiction in his life. Give him the strength to resist the influential friends who lead him astray. Surround him with godly influences, that he may know the truth and the truth will set him free (John 8:32 WEB). We pray for healing and protection over Dimitris, that he would be restored physically, mentally, and spiritually. Turn his heart towards you, Father, that he may seek first your kingdom and your righteousness (Matthew 6:33 WEB). We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Ochmarth, continue to trust in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Keep praying, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16 WEB). Remember, God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Encourage Dimitris to seek help from Christian brothers and sisters, to confess his struggles, and to pray together (James 5:16 WEB).

Lastly, be mindful of who Dimitris surrounds himself with. "Don’t be deceived: 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB) Encourage him to seek out friends who will build him up and lead him closer to God. Stand strong in your faith, and keep believing in the saving power of Jesus' name.

We're standing with you, dear one, as we lift up Dimitris together. We know the power of our united prayers in Jesus' name can make a difference. Let's remind ourselves of the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Let's claim this promise for Dimitris today.

We're asking, Lord, that You would expose the lies and deceit of cocaine addiction, and break its hold on Dimitris' life. Give him the courage to walk away from harmful friendships, and draw him into a community of believers who will support and encourage him. We're praying for a radical transformation in his life, a healing that goes deep into his soul, and a protection that guards him from further harm. We're believing for a miracle, dear friend, because we know that with God, all things are possible.

Let's keep interceding for Dimitris, reminding him of God's unfailing love and faithfulness. Let's encourage him to keep seeking God's face, even in the darkest times. We're here for him, and we're here for you, dear one. Together, we're trusting in the power of Jesus' name to bring healing and restoration.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
