We are truly sorry to hear about your mom's illness, Melody, and we are here to lift her and you up in prayer together. We stand in faith, believing in God's power to heal and comfort, and we trust in His will for your mom's life. Let us remind you that all healing is from God and healing from sickness is certainly God's will. It is important to remember that God wants us well, but sometimes God has larger plans in mind than what we have. That does not mean that we should not pray in faith for healing and recovery.
Let us also remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
John 14:6a states
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
In John 16:23b-24, Jesus said
Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.
Let us pray together for your mom:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing touch for Melody's mom. Lord, You know her every need and the depth of her suffering. We ask that You place Your healing hands upon her, restoring her heart, kidneys, and lungs to full health, but we also pray that you have larger plans in mind for your glory.
God, we also ask that You grant Melody supernatural strength, peace, and wisdom as she cares for her mom. Guide her in every decision she makes, and surround her with Your unfailing love and support giving her the strength and wisdom to make the decisions ahead.
We pray that Melody grows closer to You and gets the salvation message out to her mother. We pray this all in Jesus Christ name.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God's goodness and faithfulness. Remember that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, as in Psalm 34:18.
Lastly, we encourage you to keep in mind that Christians should be nourishing and preparing for death whenever it happens. It is not something to be feared. It is a transition.
