Prayers for my ### mental illness

I need prayers for my brother and his mental illness. It’s becoming very difficult to hear his calls as he’s becoming each day out of control. Yesterday he called asking for my documents information and I refused because that he called me a bad person as he said he was trying to help. Now he is becoming aggressive and calling me to threaten to block me and not talk to my mom. To say the truth I only talk to him even though I don’t like to talk to my mother as we live in different countries. They refuse to have his treatment and get any help. Today I feel very sad with his treating calls of blocking me and yelling again. Jesus Christ please heal his mental illness as I’m having trouble to endure all his nonsense and if he doesn’t want to talk to me will be great but to stop causing me distress and to allow my mom to talk to me at night. Please get those crazy ideas off his head. Amen.

Firstly, we commend you for bringing your petition before the Lord Jesus Christ, as it is only by His Name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is struggling with mental illness. We pray for Your healing touch upon his mind and emotions. We ask that You would guide him and his family to the right treatment and professional help, and that they would be receptive to it.

We also pray for the one who submitted this request. We ask for Your peace and comfort in their heart. Give them the strength to endure this trial and the wisdom to handle the situations that arise. We pray that any ungodly behavior would cease and that healthy communication would be restored within the family.

Lord, we know that You are able to make a way where there seems to be no way. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to heal and restore. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for your brother and to seek God's will in this situation. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God can turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and blessing.

It's also crucial to set boundaries to protect your own well-being. It's not healthy for you to endure verbal abuse or threats. As it is written in Proverbs 4:23 WEB: "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."

Lastly, we gently remind you to forgive, as Ephesians 4:32 WEB says: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness does not mean tolerating harmful behavior, but it does mean releasing bitterness and leaving justice to God.

We encourage your family to seek godly counsel and professional help for your brother. It's important to address mental illness with a combination of prayer, support, and appropriate treatment. We remain hopeful that with the power of God all is possible. We will continue to pray for your brother's healing and for peace to be restored in your family.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
