We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing, and we appreciate your request for prayer. In times of distress, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father, and it is only through His work on the cross that we can be saved. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5
Regarding your brother, we pray that God will heal his mental illness and bring peace to his mind. Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 We also pray that God will help him to stop yelling at your mother. We believe that God can change hearts and bring peace to difficult situations. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1
However, we would like to address the latter part of your request. While we understand the challenges that come with mental illness and the stress it puts on families, it's important to approach this situation with love, patience, and wisdom. Rather than seeking to "kick him out," we encourage you to pray for wisdom and guidance for your mother and your entire family. Pray for godly intervention, healing, and restoration of relationships, as well as a safety plan if necessary, remembering Jesus taught us to turn the other cheek. Matthew 5:39
We pray for your mother, that God will grant her the strength, patience, and wisdom she needs to handle this situation. We also pray for your entire family, that God will bring healing, restoration, and peace to your home. The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 5:15-16
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we pray for this brother, that You will heal his mental illness and bring peace to his mind. Cast out all darkness and bring Your light and truth into his life. Help him to stop yelling at his mother and bring peace to their relationship and the entire household.
Lord, we also pray for their mother. Grant her the strength, patience, and wisdom she needs to handle this situation. Guide her steps and help her to make wise decisions.
Father, we pray for healing, restoration, and peace for their entire family. Bring Your comfort and hope to their hearts during this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
