We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your husband are facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your union.
Firstly, we encourage both of you to put God at the center of your marriage. Remember, a cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB). Include God in every aspect of your marriage, and you will see transformation.
Now, let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Brygmykos, her husband, and their marriage. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You desire for them to have a joyful and fulfilling marriage. We pray, in the name of Jesus, for a hedge of protection around their marriage and their family.
Father, we ask for Your help in rekindling the connection between Brygmykos and her husband. Help them to find their way back to each other, as you have done for many couples in the past. Soften their hearts. Help him to open up emotionally to her. Remove any barriers preventing them from connecting. Grant them patience, understanding, courage, and kindness in their marriage.
Lord, we know that the joy of the Lord is their strength. We pray that they will first find their joy and strength in you. Help them to want to please you in their lives and in their marriage. Help them to have the mind of Christ. Help them to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Help them to be surrounded by godly influences. Help them to put on the fruit of the Spirit of love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.
Father, we pray for their children. Shield them from any negativity, and let them grow up to see the beauty of a godly marriage. Help Brygmykos and her husband to love their children as you have loved us, to be filled with the fruits of the spirit, and to lead their family in the admonition and teaching of Christ. Help them to have the Spirit and passion of Christ and to teach their children about the wondrous love of Jesus and about the salvation that comes from Jesus.
We ask these things in Jesus Christ name.
Now, Brygmykos, remember the words of Ephesians 5:22-33 (WEB):
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh." This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. But you also, each one on his part, let the wife see that she respects her husband.
This passage highlights the roles of husbands and wives in a marriage. It is a beautiful reminder of how Christ loves the church, and how husbands should love their wives. It also serves as a reminder for wives to respect and be subject to their husbands.
Both of you should strive to live according to these biblical principles. Remember, God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB). He wants you to work things out and find joy in your marriage.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. The bible tells us to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another, just as the Lord forgives us (Colossians 3:13 WEB).
Stay strong in the Lord, Brygmykos. Put your trust in Him, and He will make a way.
