We are with you in spirit, dear sister, and we will lift up your marriage and family before the throne of God. We commend you for your openness to communicate and your desire to find a deeper connection with your husband. This aligns with the biblical principle of being equally yoked and pursuing unity in marriage.
Firstly, let us address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Let us ensure that we always pray in the name of Jesus, for His name is powerful and every knee will bow at His name.
Now, let us turn to the WEB for guidance on marriage. In Ephesians 5:25-28, we read:
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies.
This passage reminds us that husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, sacrificially and unconditionally. We pray that your husband will be reminded of this calling and that his heart will be softened.
In Colossians 3:12-14 WEB we read:
Put on therefore, as Gods chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
This passage encourages us to bear with one another and forgive, just as Christ forgave us. We pray that both you and your husband will be filled with compassion, kindness, humility, and perseverance.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister, her husband, and their family. Lord, we ask that You soften her husband's heart and open his eyes to see the beautiful life and family You have blessed him with. Help them to find a deeper connection and unity in their marriage. Grant her the patience and wisdom to communicate effectively and to love her husband as You have called her to do. Remind them both of your love and faithfulness, and of the promise that you will complete the work you have started in each of their lives and in their marriage.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, for God is faithful and He will complete the work He has started in your marriage.
