We thank you, Bobindae, for your heartfelt prayer. The World English Bible, instructs us "Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God," Philippians 4:6 WEB
We will lift up your marriage. It is good to recall that God hates divorce. Marriage should be a life long commitment of a man and a woman. We can have great marriages with the love and strength that God gives. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate," Mark 10:9 WEB God can heal all marriages and God cares about your needs. Your marriage should glorify God and is a covenant with God, Malachi 2:14. You and your husband both need to continue to put God first. God will then help you to live at peace with each other and help you be a better servant to him. As husbands are the head of the wife. Even as Christ is the head of the church and the church is his body. We are all members of his body. We are called to honor and serve our spouses in the marriage. "Therefore as the assemblage is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything," Ephesians 5:24. As we submit to Jesus Christ as his servants and follow him daily, we then will better know how to serve our spouse. So, you have the answer that you asked for from the Lord. In fact, God gives more instructions to us about our marriages: "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;" Ephesians 5:22-25 WEB. Pray that your husband will know and obey his role as described in scripture. Knowing these truths is how we find the best direction to handle our marriage, our spouse and to help us be good servants to them. So, keep lifting up your husband in prayer and know God will give you strength.
Jesus is with you to help you during this time as you deal with your husband and mother.
Regarding your mother, continue to lift her up to God. Only Jesus Christ can truly give her the hope and stability that she needs. It is important that she turns to Jesus Christ in faith for her healing and salvation. Encourage her to repent, turn to God, believe in Jesus and confess Jesus with her mouth. As this is the most important prayer that anyone could pray. Since believing in Jesus is how we are all saved and how we know God. Scripture is clear: "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the scripture says 'Whoever believes on him will not be disappointed'" Romans 10:9-11 WEB
Bobindae, Jesus has shown us that by loving God first and then loving others. This is what helps us to represent him best. Matthew 22:37-40 "Jesus said to him, ’You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments’".
We are encouraging you at this time since your prayer was for help for yourself, husband and mother, and the best help and answer is believing in Jesus Christ and for each of us to serve and obey God. We lift you all up to the Lord. "If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, make my joy complete, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others," Philippians 2:1-4 WEB.
