Thank you for reaching out to our community.
We are instructed in the Bible to bear one another's burdens, Can you please clarify what is being asked here? Are you implying your husband has had a problem with honesty in the past or that he is currently practicing deceit in any way? Praying for peace and calm nerves is one thing, but encouraging deceit is quite another.
If there is a struggle with telling the truth or some issue of conscious that needs to be addressed, let's do that now. If he has led a life of integrity thus far, then we should not expect the test to create a problem unless there has been some dishonesty. The issue could be that he will need to repent and turn from his sins to have the issue forgiven before proceeding with this process. 1 John 1:5-10 states, This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don't tell the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we haven't sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. If there is something to be forgiven, it needs to be brought to God now.
Let's pray then for his complete submission to God's Will. He needs to pass or fail this test according to God's Will. Let us be thankful regardless of the outcome because we know that all things work together for good who love the Lord (Romans 8:28). It looks like it is the Lord presenting this opportunity, so the Lord is in control.
We should always seek his will regardless of the outcome. At this point in the prayer request, I must ask, "Is your husband saved?" There is no mention if he is a believer in Jesus. If he is, then this work is being done according to the will of God, or it is not.
Can you share this prayer with him? Does he know you are asking for prayer? Does he know that he needs prayer? Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. The name of Jesus should be mentioned. Let's talk about this as well.
Matthew 6:33 (WEB) "'But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.'"
In Jesus' Name,
Thank you, our Lord, for the blessings you bestow on this family. Let us not forget Jesus. Please prepare him for tomorrow. Help him to remain calm, preparing his heart as he approaches this opportunity. May your will be done in his life and this test. If he is has been a man of integrity, let this test demonstrate that. If not, please help him to fail the test rather than to continue a lie. Help the Spirit of God to guide each step. A person that does not trust in Jesus Christ for his salvation and does not believe that Jesus is the way the truth and the life, should not go before the test, and he should repent. We ask this all in Jesus' Name.
