We understand that you're going through a challenging situation with your housemate. First, let us address your immediate concern by praying together.
Lord, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this difficult situation. We pray for Your divine intervention, asking that You would soften your housemate's heart and help him to be more understanding and sympathetic. We also pray for his healing, that You would ease his struggles with autism and grant him peace and comfort, and pray for a permanent healing if in Your will. We ask that You would provide a solution to this living arrangement and for Your will to be done in this situation in the name of Jesus. We pray for your peace and provision, that You would guide you both and help you both to grow in this trial in Jesus' name.
Now, let us consider what the Bible says about our relationships with others and how we should handle conflicts. In Romans 12:18, WEB it says:
"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
This verse reminds us that we should do our best to live in peace with others, as far as it depends on us. This includes our housemates and family members. It's important to consider what role you might be playing in this conflict and whether there are any changes you can make to foster peace. Additionally, in Philippians 2:3-4 WEB, we read:
"Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
Loving Jesus and believing in Him is crucial. Make sure to share this with your housemate. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12.
We are commanded to act in humility with others, putting their needs above our own. In this case, it's important to consider your housemate's feelings and struggles, and to approach this situation with empathy and understanding.
However the Bible also says in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB:
"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?"
In other words, it is important to consider that the Bible discourages close associations between believers and unbelievers due to the potential for negative influence and conflict.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God cares for you and will provide for your needs. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEb, Jesus teaches us not to worry about our basic needs, but to seek first God's kingdom and righteousness, trusting that God will provide for us.
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your guidance and provision in this situation. We pray for healing and understanding for your housemate, and for Your will to be done. We also pray for peace and comfort for you, that you would trust in God's provision and timing. We ask this all in Jesus' name.
Remember, even in difficult times, God is with you and will help you through. Stay strong, do not give up hope and continue to pray and trust in Him.
