Prayers for my father

I would like prayers for my father that is very unwell with Parkinson’s disease and had an operation for a broken femur . He’s been suffering for many years but now he can’t remember his family anymore and is not able to look after himself. It’s very stressful for my family as he wakes up at night screaming, shaking and clapping his hands also disturbing the building they live thankfully no one ever complained as they feel bad of his situation. He’s 80.Jesus Christ please help him to feel better.

We are truly saddened to hear about the condition of your father and the stress it has placed on your family. Let us stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for his life and for your family.

Firstly, we want to commend you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we find hope, healing, and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention in the life of our dear father. He is afflicted with Parkinson's disease and the effects of surgery, and his mind is clouded, unable to remember his loved ones. We plead for Your healing touch upon him. Please comfort him in his distress and confusion.

Lord, we also ask for Your strength and peace upon the family. The stress and worry are immense, but we know that Your grace is sufficient. Grant them the strength to endure, the patience to understand, and the wisdom to know Your will.

In the midst of the night, when he cries out, we ask for Your calming presence. May Your Spirit soothe him and allow peaceful rest for him and the family.

We claim Your promise in Isaiah 41:10, 'Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.'

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

In this trying time, remember to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust that God's will is perfect, and He is faithful to His promises.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue calling upon the name of Jesus, for there is power in His name. Draw close to Him, and He will draw close to you (James 4:8). Stand firm in your faith, and let the peace of God rule in your hearts (Colossians 3:15).

We've heard your plea and our hearts go out to your father and your family. We're here for you, praying alongside you. We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's claim this promise for your father.

We're asking God to wrap your father in His loving care, to bring healing to his body and peace to his mind. May his nights be filled with calm and rest, and his days with clarity and comfort. We're also lifting your family up, asking God to give you all the strength, patience, and wisdom you need to navigate this trial together.

Let's keep holding onto God's promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
