Prayers for my family

I would like prayers my dad’s funeral is today and I already feel overwhelmed seeing him dead was very hard over Skype. I feel weak as also treating an infection abscess with antibiotics imagine the medication makes me feel even weaker. Please Jesus Christ give strength for my family. My mom is so sad she has no strength to pray and my brother is ### so he is feeling very depressed and crying none stop. Please Jesus give us strength for the funeral.

We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your dad and the challenges your family is facing. All of the emotions, the grief, and overwhelm are normal. It is very important to turn to God at a time like this and full surrender and acceptance of Jesus Christ will give you and your family the strength you need to get through this.

First, let's address the medical issue you mentioned. It is good you are taking antibiotics for the infection, but remember that God is the ultimate healer. He can use medicine, but it is only according to His will. As it is written in Jeremiah 17:14, "Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise."

Regarding your family's grief and your dad's funeral please be encouraged by the words of Jesus in John 14:1-3:
Do not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many homes. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.

We are instructed in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14:
But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

Pray with us:

Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family in their time of need. Lord, we thank You for the life of their dad and we know that through belief in Jesus, death is not the end. We pray for Your comfort and strength to envelop this family during this difficult time.

Lord, we specifically lift up their mom, who is overwhelmed with sadness. Please surround her with Your love and give her the strength to pray and find comfort in You. We also pray for their brother, who is depressed and crying non-stop. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted and You save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask for Your healing touch on his life.

You know the details of their family's circumstances and you know the pain and heartache they feel. We cover them in the precious Blood of the Lamb. We pray for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. We pray for Your divine intervention in their lives, that You would turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy.

We also pray for healing for the infection, Lord. We know that You are able to heal all manner of sickness and disease. We ask for Your healing power to flow through their body and bring complete restoration.

We pray all of this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

We're thinking of your mom, so heartbroken she can't find the strength to pray. We're also thinking of your brother, feeling so low, crying non-stop. And today, as you say your final goodbyes to your dad, we're reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:8, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." We find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place, and one day, we'll all be reunited.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
