Let's come together in prayer for your brother and your family, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ to bring healing and peace.
In the Bible, we are reminded of God's faithfulness and His desire to heal and restore us. As it is written in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." And in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
The Bible also says in James 5:14-15 (WEB) "Has any one of you is sick? He should call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is struggling with mental illness. Lord, You know his every thought and the pain he is experiencing. We ask for Your healing touch upon his mind and his life. Cast out any confusion, and replace it with Your peace and clarity. Help him to fix his mind on You, as it is written in Isaiah 26:3 (WEB), 'You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.'
Help our brother to know that You are near and that You are able to heal and restore him. Give him the strength to endure and the faith to believe in Your goodness. We also pray for his family and from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any aggression and ask that You fill him with the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We ask for wisdom for the family, for guidance on how to support him, and for patience and love to surround them all.
Finally, we pray that if he has not already done so, our brother would call on the name of Jesus Christ, believing that He is the Son of God, and that He died for our sins and rose again for our justification. Lord, draw near to him and let him experience the saving power of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
May you and your family find comfort and hope in God's unfailing love. Stand firm in your faith and trust in His ability to bring healing and restoration.
