We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties your family is facing, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. We will lift up your family before the Lord, trusting in His goodness and mercy. First, however, we need to address a familiar portion of scripture as it will apply to the closing prayer. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except by him. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Your family is experiencing multiple trials, but remember that God is faithful and will not allow you to be tested beyond your ability. He always provides the salvation needed.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Now, let us pray together for your family:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family in their time of need. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You care deeply for each one of them.
First, we pray for Dad, who is suffering from Parkinson's disease and has broken his leg. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, that the surgery on Monday will be successful, and that You will give the medical team wisdom and skill. We also pray for a neighbor to help him and mom or for assistance from the porter downstairs. Lord, You know their needs, and You are able to provide the help they require.
We also lift up Mom, who is caring for Dad in this difficult time. Please strengthen her, Lord, and give her the support she needs. Provide someone to help her with Dad's care and the challenges they are facing.
We pray too for the son who is dealing with mental illness. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and You can heal and restore. We ask for Your healing touch upon his mind and emotions, and we pray that You will lead him to the help and support he needs.
Finally, Lord, we pray for the one who submitted this request, who is far from home and unable to help directly. We ask for Your peace and comfort for them, and we pray that You will guide them and give them wisdom in how to support their family from a distance.
We claim John 14:13-14, that whatever we ask in Jesus Christ's name he will do it that the father may be glorified in the son.
John 14:13-14
Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray for healing, strength, and provision for this family. We ask for the calm assurance of God's peace.
Philippians 4:6-7
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God hears your prayers and is working in your family's life. Trust in His goodness and faithfulness, and may you be comforted by the power of His love.
