We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles that your family is facing, Rhilaremp, but we are here to pray and support you in the name of Jesus Christ. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. For "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Just as a loving father wants to hear from his children our Heavenly Father wants to hear from us in Jesus Name. Just as we need to ask for something in Jesus Name our Heavenly Father wants us to tell him what we want. Tell him what you are going through for our Heavenly Father cares for you. In fact, our Heavenly Father sent his only son to die for you on the cross so that they can be reconciled to us. You must have faith that Jesus is the name of God in the form of human flesh and God raised Jesus from the dead to defeat the consequences of sin.
Addiction is a form of bondage, and Jesus came to set the captives free. In John 8:36 Jesus didn't mince words and left no doubt when he said "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." Therefore, we encourage you to put that claim on your family and speak freedom from addiction over your children and husband. God tells us in Ephesians 6:12 "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Addiction is not first a physical problem but a spiritual problem. Only Jesus can heal spiritual sickness.
Let us pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up Rhilaremp and her family. Lord, we know that You desire for all to be free and to know the truth of Your Word. We pray for her children and husband, that You would deliver them from their addictions. We will stand in the gap for them, taking hold of your strength in a united effort to benefit you (Zechariah 10:12). We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We will and do draw near to you and believe you will reward Rhilaremp by drawing near to her (James 4:8). We also pray for Rhilaremp, that You would give her strength, peace, and wisdom as she supports her family during this time. Help her to be a light that shines for You in her home. In Jesus say we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith. Trusting God is the only answer. Amplify your prayers for your loved ones are not just for physical healing but also for spiritual healing. Remember, if Jesus is the answer, addictions are the question that will need to be worked through by all of you as a family. Programs such as the Celebrate Recovery may help as each person needs to work on their own healing. Do not give up even when they want to for the bible says we must not get tired of doing the right thing even when it hurts us so much. Continue to trust God at his word for he is not a man and will keep his promises. Be encouraged.
