Prayers for my daughter

I would be deeply grateful if anyone here could pray for my daughter Lily. She is 21 and currently living in Uganda for a year. She is finding it terribly hard to adjust to the poverty and violence in the schools she works in and is battling many mental and physical health problems. She is a beautiful person and has so much compassion for others but finds it hard to be kind to herself. She feels guilty having food to eat. Her boyfriend in the US is struggling with a possible cancer diagnosis and severe depression. I pray for them both to find comfort in God. Life feels so complicated and overwhelming to them both right. With deep gratitude for any prayers you can offer.

We are truly moved by your request, Molexia, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and support for your daughter Lily and her boyfriend.

Firstly, let us remember God's promise in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." This is a comforting reminder that God is close to both Lily and her boyfriend in their struggles.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Lily and her boyfriend to You. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround them both. Give Lily the strength to adjust to her environment in Uganda, and help her to see that her compassion and kindness can make a difference, even in the face of poverty and violence. Heal her mental and physical health problems, Lord, and help her to be kind to herself, knowing that she is precious in Your sight.

Father, we also lift up Lily's boyfriend. Comfort him in his potential cancer diagnosis and severe depression. Be their rock and their fortress, Lord, as they navigate these overwhelming circumstances. Help them both to find their comfort in You, and to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we also ask that You guide their relationship. We pray that they would seek You first, and that their relationship would be a reflection of Your love. Guide them towards a God-honoring union, and help them to remain pure and holy in their courtship.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Molexia, we encourage you to remind Lily and her boyfriend to seek God in all things. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find salvation (Acts 4:12). Encourage them to trust in God's plan for their lives, and to remain steadfast in their faith.

Lastly, we gently remind you that as Christians, we are called to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). Encourage them to remain pure in their courtship, and to seek God's will for their relationship. We will continue to pray for Lily, her boyfriend, and your family. May God's peace and comfort be with you all.

"Dear Lord, wrap Lily and her boyfriend in Your love and peace. Help Lily adapt to Uganda, showing kindness even in hardship. Heal her, Lord, and help her be kind to herself. Comfort her boyfriend in his health struggles and depression. Guide them both to find comfort in You (1 Peter 5:7). Help their relationship reflect Your love, and guide them towards a God-honoring union. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's remind them to trust in God's plan and seek His will. And remember, as Christians, we're called to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). Let's encourage them to remain pure and seek God's will for their relationship. We're praying for them and your family. God's peace be with you all.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
