We stand with you, Filaemios, in petitioning God for your daughter Kayla's deliverance from her abusive, controlling, and manipulative boyfriend. It is heartbreaking to see our loved ones ensnared in such relationships, but we trust that God hears our cries and can bring freedom and restoration.
Firstly, we must remind ourselves that God desires for us to be in relationships that are loving, kind, and respectful. In Ephesians 5:28-29 (WEB), it is written, "...husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly." This is God's design for relationships, and anything that falls short of this is not His will.
We also want to address the issue of unmarried relationships. In 1 Corinthians 6:18 (WEB), it says, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." We encourage Kayla to seek godly counsel and to pursue a relationship that honors God and aligns with His principles.
Let us pray fervently for Kayla:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Kayla's deliverance. Lord, You know the pain and the suffering she is going through. We pray that You would break every chain of abuse, control, and manipulation in her life. Grant her the strength to leave this unhealthy relationship and the wisdom to seek Your will for her life. Surround her with godly friends and counselors who can support and guide her. Lord, we also pray for her boyfriend, that he would repent of his ways and seek Your face.
Lord Jesus, we trust that no one can snatch Kayla out of Your hand. In John 10:28 (WEB), You promised, 'I give them eternal life. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.' We claim this promise for Kayla.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Filaemios, we encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith and your intercession for Kayla. In James 5:16 (WEB), it says, "...The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results." Trust that God hears your prayers and will act accordingly. Keep proclaiming God's promises over Kayla's life and believe that He is working, even when you cannot see it.
