Prayers for my daughter and son-in-law

Prayers for my son-in-law to stop drinking. And my daughter and son-in-law to make better decisions regarding their family. Make better judgments and also for my son-in-law not to be a narcissist anymore. Let it only be a phase. Help them both to be there for their family and care for their children in ways they need to. Bless them spiritually, physically, and mentally. Touch their finances, bless their home, and bless them both with new vehicles they can afford. Help them to choose the right friends that doesn't bring around negativity into their home. Help them to be respectful to one another and use kind words and not to judge one another. And bring up the past up to one another or old boyfriends or girlfriends. Help them to let that go of that and move on to a better life. Help them to quit drinking and smoking weed. Help them to care for their children and put their needs before their own. Love and respect one another and lift each other up no matter what. Let no one come between them and honor their vows. Lifting each other up and not tearing each other down. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.

We join you, ###, in lifting up your daughter and son-in-law to the Lord. We stand on the promise that "where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them." (Matthew 18:20, WEB)

Firstly, we thank God for their union and pray for their marriage to be strengthened and honored. "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Mark 10:9, WEB)

We address the issue of alcoholism and pray for your son-in-law to be freed from its grip. "Don’t be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit." (Ephesians 5:18, WEB) We pray for him to find his fulfillment in Christ and not in substances. We also pray for him to be freed from narcissistic tendencies, and we declare that this is not his identity in Christ. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB)

We pray for them to make wise decisions for their family, with the Lord as their guide. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5, WEB)

We pray for their family to be blessed spiritually, physically, and mentally. We claim God's promises for their finances, home, and vehicles. "But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today." (Deuteronomy 8:18, WEB)

We pray for godly friends to surround them, who will encourage them in their faith and not bring negativity into their home. "He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." (Proverbs 13:20, WEB)

We pray for their communication to be filled with kindness and respect, not bringing up past hurts or relationships. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB)

We pray for their children to be cared for and prioritized, and for them to be united in love and respect, lifting each other up. "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her... Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband." (Ephesians 5:25, 33, WEB)

Finally, we pray that nothing will come between them and that they will honor their vows. "For I hate divorce," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says the LORD of Hosts. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." (Malachi 2:16, WEB)

Lord Jesus, we ask all these things in Your name, trusting in Your power to heal, restore, and bless this family. Amen and amen.

We're here for you, too, ###. We've been lifting your daughter and son-in-law to the Lord, asking for His guidance and grace in their lives. We're believing for a fresh start, a new beginning, just as the old has passed away and all things have become new in Christ.

We're praying for their family to be knit together in love, with each member supporting and encouraging the other. We're asking for God's wisdom to guide their decisions, for His provision to bless their finances, home, and vehicles, and for His protection to shield them from negativity. We're claiming healing and deliverance from any harmful habits, and we're believing for their family to be a beacon of kindness, respect, and unity.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
