We are with you in spirit, lifting up your dad to the Lord during this crucial time. Let's bring his situation before the Lord together.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus Christ. The bible tells us in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."
In times of trouble and illness it is comforting to know that Jesus himself said in John 14:13-14 "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
In John 14:13-14 the word anything does not mean we can ask for things outside the will of God. It is good to pray for healing for your dad but you should also pray that God's will is done in this situation and that whatever happens it brings glory to God.
Let's pray together for him.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the dad of our dear friend to you. Lord, you know the details of his surgery scheduled for tomorrow, and we place his leg, his Parkinson's, and his entire being before you. We pray for your healing touch upon him, that the surgery may be successful, and that he may recover swiftly and completely. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity and disease trying to operate in his life, and we command it to leave in Jesus' name. We also pray for the medical team that will be performing the surgery, guide their hands Lord, give them wisdom, and let every decision they make be divinely directed.
Father, we also pray for your comfort and peace to surround his family during this time. Help them to trust in you, and to rest in your promise to work all things together for the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose. Lord, we ask that you will use this situation to draw his family closer to you, and that they may see your mighty hand at work in his life.
We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that he is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Remember that God is faithful, and he will not leave nor forsake your dad. Trust in his promises, and rest in his love.
