Prayers for my dad

I need prayers for my dad, who has Parkinson’s and is having issues sleeping. He keeps screaming at night, clapping his hands, waking the neighbours, and causing trouble for the family. Please, Jesus Christ, help them sleep well.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your family and especially your dad is facing due to Parkinson's disease. We will lift him up in prayer, seeking God's comfort, healing, and guidance for your family during this challenging time.

Let us remember the words of the WEB saying:
come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light, by quoting Matthew 11:28-30.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family and especially the father who is battling Parkinson's disease. We pray for Your healing touch upon him, that You would ease his symptoms and grant him peaceful nights. We ask that he would find comfort and relief, and the family to be able to rest and to continue to be rigorously supportive. We pray for wisdom and strength for the family, that they would be able to care for him with love, patience, and understanding by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we also pray for the neighbors, that they would be understanding and supportive during this difficult time. We ask that You would surround this family with Your love and grace, and that You would be glorified through this situation in Jesus name.

We also thank the person for specifically calling on the name of Jesus Christ for help. We need to understand the importance of this. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have any kind of access to the throne of grace. This is directly told to believers in scripture and we need to always mention this in our prayers. Therefore let it be known and taught to all, publicly and from house to house, that in the name of Jesus we must be saved from our sins and from God's retribution for them. Jesus said I am the way truth and life, and no man goes to the father except through me as outlined in Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.

We've been praying for him, asking God to grant him peaceful nights, to ease his symptoms, and to give your family the strength and wisdom to care for him with love and patience. We've also been lifting up your neighbors, asking God to surround them with understanding and support during this time.

We want to encourage you with Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God sees your dad's struggle and He's right there with you all, offering comfort and hope.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. I would like to thank you all for the prayers they are working well, and I wish you a happy Thanksgiving. I’m not American myself, but my dad was always a fan of the culture. He always wanted to have a Thanksgiving dinner, which I have now every year, and I thank the Lord’s for all the blessings received. He now doesn’t understand what’s happening very well but I’m sure he would be happy.
