We are truly saddened to hear about the condition of your dear cousin Emily. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for her life and the peace and comfort of her family. Let us remember His promise: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares Yahweh, "plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11).
Firstly, we must acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the only way to come to God the Father. It is by faith in Him that we are saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Our hearts are heavy knowing that this request does not mention Him. Let us remind everyone that we do not have access to God the Father except by the name of Jesus Christ.
Now, let us pray together.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister Emily to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the depth of her suffering and the pain her family is experiencing. We pray for Your healing touch upon Emily's life. If it is Your will that she is to suffer like Job or Paul, then we pray for the grace to endure as they did. If it is Your will that she is to have a complete recovery, then we pray for that. We pray that You will provide wisdom and skill to her doctors and nurses, and that they will be the hands of Your healing. We ask not our will but Yours be done.
Father, we also pray for Emily's parents and loved ones. Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and strength during this time of trial. Help them to trust in You and to lean on Your everlasting arms. We pray for the medical team that will care for Emily, that You guide their hands and give them wisdom in their decisions.
Lord, we acknowledge that You are sovereign over all, and that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). We trust in Your goodness and Your love for Emily and her family. We also ask that if any of the family does not know Jesus Christ as their Savior, they be convicted in their hearts that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Take comfort in knowing that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Trust in Him, and He will give you strength. Stand firm in your faith knowing that He will never leave you and never forsake you.
